International meeting of Unesco creative cities: Biella is there

180 cities around the world, with around 400 delegates, will be meeting in Fabriano from 10 to 15 June for the XIII Annual Conference of the Unesco Creative Cities, a prestigious event able to focus the headlights of the international press on the Marche city that is part of the network of the “Unesco Creative Cities” since 2013 and that this year had the honor of being chosen for the annual conference of the circuit.

Biella will also be present at the event, hosted by the Cassa di Risparmio di Fabriano and Cupramontana Foundation, with whom close collaboration was established during the project for the city’s candidacy to the network, and will be able to present the territory and its excellence and potential in the area of ​​a stand managed by ATL Biella.

The President of the Cassa di Risparmio di Biella Foundation, Franco Ferraris, will also hold a speech on the afternoon of June 12th.

President Mattarella will also take part in the meeting and the first citizens from all over the world will participate to reflect on the guiding theme of this edition: the great challenges posed by the exponential development of the urban dimension that will become increasingly central in the history of humanity in the coming years: in fact, the ONU estimates that by 2050 68% of the world population will live in cities (World Urbanization Prospects 2018).
