In particular will be illustrated the journalistic project “Biella: the city of wool, towards a sustainable future”, supported by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella, which aims to enhance, together with the small and large brands of the Biella area, the entire wool chain, bringing out the virtuous practices adopted by the manufacturing companies in terms of social and, above all, environmental sustainability.

An occasion then to get to know Massimino Perino, born in Pralungo in 1882 and died in 1954 and his Atelier, where you can admire some youthful works, plaster and bronze casts and casts, drawings, documents, notebooks, a pantograph and others personal tools of the artist, used to sculpt and work marble.

The light of landscape

From 30 June to 28 September the “Fabbrica della ruota” is hosting the exhibition “The light of landscape: Romolo Ubertalli painter and photographer”.

Opening on Sunday 30th June at 5.30 pm.

Admission Euro 3,00. Free admission for DocBi members. Open every Sunday from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm within the Rete Museale Biellese; every day by reservation for groups and school groups (015 766221).

The exhibition aims to promote the rediscovery of the pastel painter from Castagnea, in his dual role as a painter and photographer, through the analysis of the fund acquired by DocBi. This fund consists of various notebooks containing hundreds of “studies and sketches” and about 1600 photographs. The analysis of the material, which made it possible to highlight the relationship between photography and painting in the artist’s “working method” and which brought out an all-round photographic talent, is developed in the exhibition through the contributions of Carlo Bozzalla Pret, Claudia Converso, Danilo Craveia, Alessandra Montanera and Giovanni Vachino. The exhibition will be enriched by various works by Ubertalli, some unpublished, coming from private collections.
